Using the item switches between wearing the roller skates and taking them off.

While the roller skates are on:

• Isaac's movement speed is drastically increased.
• Isaac's friction is reduced, causing him to slide more uncontrollably and keep moving even if the movement keys aren't being pressed.
• Chance for Isaac to ignore contact damage from enemies and enemy projectile damage, based on how fast they are moving. If the protection from damage is successful, collided enemies will be heavily knocked back and take damage upon hitting a rock or wall, and collided projectiles will fly in Isaac's movement direction, no longer dealing damage to him and dealing damage to enemies instead.
