Vengeful Spirit is an unlockable passive item in The Binding of Isaac, added in the Repentance DLC.

Upon taking damage, spawns an invulnerable red wisp that fires spectral tears and deals contact damage, but does not block projectiles.

Wisps are destroyed when leaving the floor. Up to 6 wisps can be created per floor.

Wisps' tears are shot once per second, and deal damage equal to 2.9 + 0.1 × CurrentFloor.

Contact damage is equal to 50% of Isaac's damage per tick, and is dealt 15 times per second.
