Soul of Mastema is an unlockable consumable in Mastema, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

Spawns an item from a random pool and will either:
• Give broken hearts based on the item's quality.
• Remove hearts equivalent to a devil deal.
• Spawn the item for free.

This item can kill Isaac if he does not have the required heart containers or has too many broken hearts.

Defeat Hush as Tainted Mastema.

The following special synergies and interactions for Soul of Mastema have been documented.

---	Your Soul	The trinket will be removed instead if Soul of Mastema was supposed to remove heart containers.
---	Keeper	Coins will try to be removed first. Can also add up to one broken heart regardless of item quality. Same with Tainted Keeper.
---	The Lost	Risks are different: • Spawns Mega Troll Bombs equivalent to item's quality. • Damages you, breaking Holy Mantle. If Lost had none at the moment, kills instead. Same with Tainted Lost.
---	Clear Rune	Mimic recharge time: 12 rooms
