Occult Ball is a passive item in Reverie: Make Good Omissions, a mod for The Binding of Isaac.

This item be rerolled not into another item, but into another quality.

Upon clearing a room, an Occult Ball on a pedestal will reroll itself.

Always spawns as Quality 2 unless rerolled.

Occult Balls of different quality grant different passive abilities.

Quality -1 "More Items + Twisted Wish"

Upon entering a new floor, spawns 6 random items, only one can be picked up.

Any item with quality 2-4 that spawns in the future will be rerolled to another item with quality 0-1.

Quality 0 "Inchling in Green"

+55% size.
+40% hitbox size.

Isaac becomes green.

Quality 1 "Standing Right Behind You"

Touching an enemy will activate the effects of Psycho Knife, limited to once per enemy.

Quality2 "Dash! Dash!"

+2 speed.

Quality 3 "Human Inferno"

Grants immunity to explosions and damage from fire places, as well as the lake of lava in The Beast fight.

Constantly sets Isaac and all nearby enemies on fire.

Quality 4 "The Fiend of the Two-Colored Mantle"

Spawns Red and Blue upgrade options upon pickup.

Upon taking down the next floor, spawns new Red and Blue upgrade options.

Only one can be chosen per time:
• Red: ×1.3 damage multiplier.
• Blue: ×1.3 fire rate multiplier.

The upgrade options disappear once the room is left.

Quality 5 "Between the Gaps"

Spawns a gap every 1/3 seconds, each will disappear after 3 seconds.

Upon entering a room, spawns a constantly active gap that disappears upon leaving the room.

Removes all non-boss enemies and projectiles that contact the gap.

Deals 5x Isaac's damage 15 times per second to bosses that contact the gap.

• Quality -1: The effect references the urban legend associated with Kasen Ibaraki.
• Quality 0: The effect references the urban legend linked to Shinmyoumaru Sukuna, and the description quotes her title.
• Quality 1: The effect references the urban legend tied to Koishi Komeiji, and the description quotes her title.
• Quality 2: The effect references the urban legend related to Byakuren Hijiri, and the description quotes her title.
• Quality 3: The effect references the urban legend connected to Fujiwara no Mokou, and the description quotes her title.

In the base game, quality -1 and 5 do not exist, yet this item can possess precisely these quality values.

In Urban Legend in Limbo, Sumireko Usami spread the urban legend that "collecting seven Occult Orbs will grant a wish," and this item coincidentally has exactly seven quality.
