The chance of spawning a ghost is equal to 15 - 5.5 × LuckStat%. It starts at 15% with 0 luck, going up to 70% with -10 luck.

This item pays tribute to the item of the same name from the Calamity Mod for Terraria.
The Calamity Mod is a renowned large-scale mod in Terraria's community, and the word "Calamity" in this item's description refers directly to that mod.

The Calamity Mod's Fantasy Talisman was itself inspired by the ofuda talismans used by Reimu Hakurei.
The synergy between this item and Reimu is a tribute to the "Stealth Strike" mechanic of the Fantasy Talisman in the Calamity Mod.

The ingredients required to craft the Fantasy Talisman — Solar Veil, Silk, and Ectoplasm — include no paper products. Therefore, this item is not a paper-based item and cannot be cloned by the Portable Copier.
